Carver Cluster Community Block Party Held
The Carver Cluster Community Block Party was held Saturday, November 4th, 2023 at New Schools at Carver in Atlanta. With student performances, live music, food trucks and many family activities, a great time was held by all.
Access MHA was on hand to share information on our services as Kisha Harvey, Clinical Director and Audrette Afolayan, PP Supervisor staffed our table while educating families on the services of Access MHA and networking with friends and partners of Atlanta Public Schools!
The weather was great and the event was a huge success as the community came together for the occasion.

Mental Health Awareness MonthMay 9, 2023
May is Mental Health Awareness Month. We are committed to helping our communities understand the importance of mental health. We celebrate our team of professionals who continue to provide support and advocate for the millions of people in the U.S. who suffer from mental illness. Access MH is involved with local schools providing training to administration and faculty on identifying the signs of mental illness as well as techniques to offer support to their students. We also partner with our community to attend health and wellness events. -

Seaside Healthcare Acquires Access Mental Health Agency of Georgia
SHREVEPORT, LA: Louisiana based Seaside Healthcare, a behavioral healthcare service corporation, has announced the acquisition of ACCESS MHA of Georgia, a behavioral health company established in 2008 and providing services through offices in Savannah and Atlanta, Georgia. Franklin Roemer, CEO and co-founder of Seaside Healthcare announced the acquisition which was completed August 15, 2017. Roemer commented, “Having served the people of Louisiana with excellence in Behavioral Health services for nearly a decade and recognizing the close similarity in the “patient first”, high quality, community-based mental health service delivery approach of Seaside Healthcare and Access, MHA, this acquisition is a positive one for both organizations and the people Access serves.”
Entering into services in Georgia through Access MHA, Seaside Healthcare shares with Access, MHA its focus on providing evidence based treatment services that are compliant with all state and national regulations for mental healthcare delivery. Seaside’s goal is to provide community based treatment in the least restrictive environment for patients and their families. As a large deliverer of mental health services in Louisiana, Seaside has the resources to ensure the ongoing success of Access, MHA which has served the people of Georgia for almost a decade.
Roemer further remarked on the Access MHA organization becoming part of the Seaside Healthcare family, “With philosophies in common, Access, MHA joins the behavioral healthcare family of Seaside with a common mission, that of helping people and communities minimize the impact of mental health disease and maximize opportunities for positive and successful living for both the patient and their family members.”
Access, MHA, as a community based mental health and substance provider, delivers its services to children, adolescents and adults with mental illness and substance abuse disorders. The Access organization is comprised of a highly skilled and experienced team of physicians, psychiatrists, psychologists, registered nurses, licensed therapists, certified substance abuse and mental health professionals, social workers, educators and mentors.
