Meet our Executive Leadership:
Leadership is an opportunity to serve others and an opportunity to assist others to grow. In the words of Bob Goshen, “Leaders should influence others in a such a way that it builds people up, encourages and educates them so that they can duplicate this attitude in others.” It is my passion to be a part of the growth process in individuals, particularly professionals, with the goal of assisting others to become their best, healthiest, and well-balanced self. In the field of behavioral health, we are charged with the responsibility to become part of the healing process for those that have experienced difficult circumstances in their lives. It is therefore my goal that we are enriched mentally and physically, in order to be that true change agent for those that we serve.
I have served as a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Georgia for the past 8 years. I have had the great pleasure of working in the field of Behavioral Health for the past 16 years. I have worked in various behavioral health settings including Inpatient Psychiatric Care, Community Service Boards in collaboration with the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities and Employee Assistance Programs. I have had the opportunity to work for Access Mental Health of Seaside Healthcare, which is a behavioral health organization focusing on community-based services. We work in collaboration with numerous community partners including the Atlanta Public School System, District Attorney’s office, Georgia State University, Amerigroup, Wellcare, and various others. Our goal is to become a dedicated and dependable resource in the community for those served as well as we for our community partners.
My educational background includes a MA in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University in Atlanta, GA. I have a Masters in Business Administration from University of Phoenix in Atlanta, GA, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL. I am also Certified as a Clinical Supervisor.
“The most common way that people give up their power is by thinking they don’t have any.” Alice Walker
I have served as a licensed professional counselor for the past 8 years and in the human services field for over 20 years. I decided to become a counselor after working with families who were involved with the court system and seeing the shortage of mental health services that were available to them. I believe in order to help others we must empower them. I have devoted my career to helping the underserved children and adults of Georgia. I have worked with Access Mental Health since 2013 , and I was promoted to Clinical Director of Savannah in 2015. It has been my pleasure to lead a staff of seasoned professionals whose goal has been to serve the individuals and families of our community.
I graduated with Honors from the University of West Georgia with a Bachelors of Arts in English and a Masters of Arts in Psychology. I am also a Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor.
